Gautam Bhasin, Psy.D.

Dr. Gautam Bhasin completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, where he graduated with Honors in Psychology. After graduation, he worked as a research assistant at Substance Treatment and Research Services (STARS) at Columbia University. He assessed and treated former substance abusers, while conducting research on the effectiveness and dissemination of newer treatments methods.

Dr. Bhasin then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. Upon completion of his Masters, he entered a competitive doctoral program at Kean University in Combined School and Clinical Psychology. He received rigorous training in School, Clinical, and Neuropsychology through a mix of classes and practicums in world renowned hospitals in New York City (Bellevue and Mt. Sinai). Dr. Bhasin did one year of internship at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital followed by two years of Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology.

Dr. Bhasin completed a year-long School Psychology internship at Nutley Public High school and he is a New Jersey State Certified School Psychologist. He is able to provide insight on how schools provide special education services to children of all ages. He also has the ability and expertise to provide consultation services to parents and students during Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.

Dr. Bhasin chose to specialize in the field of Neuropsychology, and to work with individuals across the lifespan (3-99). He has received specialized training from Mt. Sinai, Bellevue, and Northwell Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Bhasin's clinical interests include evaluating and treating geriatric cognitive disorders (Alzheimer's and Vascular dementias), mood and anxiety disorders, and cognitive disorders (ADHD and learning disabilities) in adults, adolescents, and children. He remains committed to utilizing evidence based practice in both therapeutic and assessment settings. He is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York.

Our Location

CNC is located in Ramsey, NJ just off Route 17. The medical building has ample parking and is handicap accessible. We also offer tele-medicine services for both therapy and assessment.
